Our Policies

 

Reservations

Reservations are held with a credit card, we accept Cash, Visa, Master Card or Discover.

Deposit

A deposit of 50% of your stay confirms your reservation and is taken at the time of booking. The remaining balance is due upon arrival. Early departures are non-refundable and you will be expected to pay the full amount due.

Arrival

Check-in 4:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m. When at all possible we will be happy to arrange an early check-in however we early arrivals will need to be pre-arranged.

Late Arrival

Due to the Covid issue, we are not offering early check-ins or late arrivals. We know that sometimes it's not possible to make the 6:00 p.m check-in time, not a problem give us a call and we can make arrangements so that you can do a self check-in. 605-574-4408

Departure

Check out 11:00 a.m. 

Dining

Breakfast served daily at 8:30 a.m. in the dining room or on the back patio next to the waterfall.

Cancellations

Deposits will be refunded less a $25 per night, per room, cancellation fee if cancellation is 30 or more days before arrival date. For shorter notice, no refund will be issued and the full reservation amount is due.

No refunds available during all Holiday weeks, Sturgis Motorcycle Rally other special events, weddings or reunions. Full room rate is charged for last-minute cancellations or failure to cancel or early departures.

We are a small inn and cancellations affect us severely. Sorry, but our policy is firm regardless of the reason for cancellation, interrupted stay or early departure. We cannot be responsible for unused rooms due to late or canceled airline flights, family emergencies, illness, threat of bad weather and other travel-related mishaps or for changes in plans which shorten your stay. Vacation Insurance is available from several providers online to inexpensively protect you against covered unexpected events.

Damages Policy to Hotel and Property

We reserve the right to charge guests the cost of rectifying damage, caused by the deliberate, negligent or reckless act of the guest to the hotel’s property or structure. Should this damage come to light after the guest has departed, we reserve the right to make a charge to the guest’s credit / debit card, or send an invoice for the amount to the registered address. We will, however, make every effort to rectify any damage internally prior to contracting specialists to make the repairs, and therefore will make every effort to keep any costs that the guest would incur to a minimum.

Smoking

This is a no-smoking facility. 

Pets

Please, no pets. Although we love animals, we simply do not have the facilities (inside or outside) for guests to bring them.

Children

We love children, but we ask that you leave them with a sitter in order to maintain the quiet, romantic atmosphere at Summer Creek Inn. An exception to allow children are made if you are renting the entire facility. Adult Only means 16 and up.

Check-In Procedure:

At Summer Creek Inn we have always had the highest standards of providing our guests with a clean safe environment.

Upon your arrival, we request that you wear a mask during the check-in process and while inside the building if you are interacting with staff or other guest. If you do not have a mask, we will be happy to provide you with one. We request that you use the hand sanitizer located next to the door and clean your shoes on the mat next to the door each time you enter the building.

Prior to entering the building, you will need to ring the doorbell; a staff member will greet you and provide you access to the building, assist you with check in, luggage, provide you with door codes, tour the building and show you to your room.

All guests checking in will need to show a valid ID so it will speed up the check-in process if you have your ID ready upon your arrival.

When in common areas if other guests or staff are present, we request that you wear your mask. For us to reopen and provide a safe and healthy environment for both our guests and staff we have made the before-mentioned changes.

As always, we are here to provide you with the highest level of service and if there is anything that you need to improve your stay please don’t hesitate to ask.
